Surroundings
Ambach is located on the eastern shore with a marvellous view of Lake Starnberg. Just 25 kilometres to the north is the Bavarian capital of Munich with its numerous sights. The city centre can be reached by car in less than 40 minutes. The fields and forests of the Alpine foothills stretch out to the south-east. Garmisch-Partenkirchen can be reached in less than an hour. Füssen and Neuschwanstein Castle are also just over an hour away.
